Ken Zick is the recently “retired” Vice-President and Dean, Student Affairs and Professor of Law at Wake Forest University.  A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Albion College, Ken earned his Juris Doctor at Wayne State University and a post-graduate M.L.S. at the University of Michigan, where he was a Michigan Scholar in College Teaching.   He has been a speaker at numerous national conferences, President of the American Society of Writers on Legal Subjects, a member of several American Bar Association Law School Accreditation teams, and a consultant in student affairs administration. In 1987 he was elected to membership in the Order of the Barristers and occasionally directs and teaches in the law school’s summer law program in England.  In the summer of 1990 he served as an advisor to the East German Parliament on a Ford Foundation fellowship.  Twice, he has been selected to receive the Wake Forest Student Government Association’s “Administrator of the Year Award.”   In 2007 he was selected for the Atlantic Coast Conference’s inaugural “Advisor of the Year” award. 

He recently published a historically based novel, West to Donegal Bay:  A Novel of Irish Islands.
